Dr. Kristi LaPointe

I have loved animals my entire life and have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a young child. I grew up with cats, dogs and horses and the dream of becoming a vet never left me. I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2012 and am just as happy to come to work every day as I was when I first graduated.

While I love all aspects of veterinary medicine, I have a special interest in preventative medicine and keep our geriatric patients happy and comfortable so they may age gracefully. I love coming to work most days as every day is different and we are never bored! It also helps that we have an amazing team here at FAVC, and all work so well together.

In my off time, I love spending time with my family in the great outdoors. I have 2 young children and 2 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers (Tucker, 14 1/2 and Bear 2 1/2). Fun fact is that Tucker is Bear’s great uncle!
